Sign Up For Free to View In the latest episode of USA Network’s “Miz & Mrs,” fans of the series saw star Mike Mizanin spending some time on the links with a familiar face: his long-time friend, Ryan Cabrera.

  • The pair have been attached at the hip for nearly two decades, and share a love of competition and, of course, a good time.
  • Over the previous two seasons, he could be found standing at Mike’s side at parties and events as the pair induced their usual good-natured chaos.
  • However, Cabrera, a recording artist best known for his pop-rock and acoustic work, has more connections to the Mizanins than meets the eye.

If it weren’t for Mike, Cabrera wouldn’t have met — let alone married — his wife, WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss. The story goes that after a rumor started online that Alexa and Ryan were already dating, Mike hit up his friend Ryan and asked about the possibility of setting them up.

Miz, who’s best friends with Ryan, called him and asked about him dating Alexa Bliss and Ryan had no clue who I was,” Bliss told her fellow Superstars Brie and Nikki Bella on “The Bellas Podcast.” “Miz ended up telling him it’s a girl he works with. Then we started chatting and he asked me to go to one of his shows and asks where I’m from.

I tell him I’m in Orlando and he says he was flying to Orlando at the time for a show. I thought, ‘Maybe’ — because I know how musicians are, I’ve dated them before. I ended up going to the show and he invited me out after the show and I turned him down, but we continued to talk and he was very patient and persistent and we became amazing friends.

  • Ultimately it turned into an amazing relationship.
  • He’s so sweet and so amazing.” In November 2020, the pair got engaged and it wasn’t long before Miz was joking about his own role in the nuptials.
  • Because Cabrera performed at Mike’s wedding to his wife, Maryse, and because of Mike’s role in getting the couple together, he claimed he simply had to perform at the wedding.

Day of, Mike joked about the possibility of upstaging Bliss at her own wedding in April 2022 — but, of course, not even The Miz can steal the show from a bride on her wedding day. “I was like, ‘Mike, no matter what when people see my dress and me, you’re not going to upstage me,’ so I was like, ‘Do whatever you want, have fun,’ and they had fun,” Bliss told “WWE Deutschland.” Now, in “Miz & Mrs” Season 3, best friends Mike and Cabrera are both married men — but that doesn’t stop them from getting up to their usual tit-for-tat.

  • In Episode 3, Cabrera ribs Mike for not paying enough attention to the haters online, and even reads him a number of mean comments about his time on “Dancing with the Stars.” It’s all in good fun, of course, and Mike does eventually overcome his momentary lapse in confidence.

Did Buddy Murphy and Alexa Bliss date?

#5. Former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Matthews – How Did Ryan Cabrera Meet Alexa Bliss Alexa Bliss was engaged to Buddy Matthews During her time on NXT, Alexa Bliss managed Wesley Blake and Buddy Matthews (FKA Buddy Murphy). While working together, she and Matthews developed feelings for each other and started dating in real life. In 2016, Bliss and Matthews announced their engagement.

  1. As the couple prepared for their wedding, Bliss moved from NXT to SmackDown.
  2. Hence, they decided to postpone their marriage.
  3. So we got engaged over a year ago and we were like ‘okay, so we’re going to set this date and then I ended up being moved to SmackDown, which was amazing.
  4. And so we’re like ‘All right, we’ll push it to this date’ and then with our traveling weeks to see each other seven days a week and work together six days a week, because I was partnered with Blake and Murphy, and now we see each other maybe six hours a week, so it’s one of those things that we’ve really be able to talk through text and FaceTime and I’m sure he’s annoyed with me calling his phone like every other minute but it’s one of those things that we have had to adapt to for sure.

It’s so hard,” Bliss explained in an interview with Gorilla Position in April 2017, However, Bliss and Matthews never married. Instead, they called off their engagement and went their separate ways in early 2018. While the former RAW Women’s Champion is now with Ryan Cabrera, her ex-fiancé is currently dating her colleague, Rhea Ripley.

Did Miggy get his 3000?

April 23, 2022 / 4:01 PM / AP Tigers star Miguel Cabrera delivered the 3,000th hit of his decorated career Saturday, becoming the 33rd major leaguer to reach the mark and the first player from Venezuela to accomplish the feat. Still an imposing presence at 39, Cabrera made history by grounding an opposite-field single to right through the shift in the first inning of Detroit’s game against Colorado.

  • Cabrera immediately raised his right arm as he headed toward first base.
  • The crowd at mostly full Comerica Park gave him a rousing ovation and chanted “Miggy! Miggy!” while fireworks were shot off from beyond the center field fence.
  • The milestone hit came on a 1-1 pitch from Antonio Senzatela, a fellow Venezuelan, in the first game of a day-night doubleheader.

Rockies shortstop José Iglesias, who played with Cabrera on the Tigers, came over to give his former teammate a big hug. How Did Ryan Cabrera Meet Alexa Bliss Detroit Tigers designated hitter Miguel Cabrera reacts on first base after his 3,000th career hit during the first inning of the first baseball game of a doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies, Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Detroit. Carlos Osorio / AP By then, all the Tigers were streaming from the dugout to greet the newest member of baseball’s elite 3,000-hit club.

Moments later, Cabrera went behind home plate to embrace his mother, wife, son and daughter on the field. Cabrera soon returned to first base, but he didn’t stay there for long. He scored on a three-run homer by 22-year-old rookie Spencer Torkelson, who is touted as the next big thing in Detroit and has taken over as the Tigers’ regular first baseman with Cabrera now in the role of designated hitter.

When the inning ended, the scoreboard flashed “Congratulations Miggy.” Cabrera emerged from the dugout for a curtain call, waving to fans who had been rewarded with the highlight they came to see. Cabrera, however, wasn’t quite done. He added a two-run single in the sixth, exited for a pinch-runner and drew another huge cheer.

A two-time AL MVP, a Triple Crown winner and an 11-time All-Star with four batting titles, Miggy’s place among the Major League Baseball greats already was assured long before this afternoon in Detroit. As a 20-year-old rookie, Cabrera helped the Florida Marlins win the 2003 World Series championship.

All these years later, stamping his name onto the 3,000-hit list had a nice ring, too. And it’ll certainly look good on a plaque in Cooperstown someday. Cabrera became just the seventh player with 500 home runs and 3,000 hits. He joined an exclusive club with Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez.

Last August in Toronto, Cabrera connected for his 500th homer. He’s at 502 in his 20th season. Cabrera is the seventh Latino player to make the 3,000 chart. Hitting the mark tied him with the late Roberto Clemente, and hit No.3,001 moved Cabrera ahead of the Pirates Hall of Famer. Pujols was the previous player to reach 3,000 hits, doing it in 2018.

He was at 3,308 going into Saturday and, at 42 with St. Louis, has said this is his final season. The next hitter to reach 3,000? Hard to say. Robinson Canó trailed Cabrera on the active list with 2,630 going into Saturday and is 39 years old. Yadier Molina, also 39, followed at 2,116.

  • Among younger players, Jose Altuve (32) has 1,783 and Freddie Freeman (32) had 1,722.
  • Mike Trout (30) was at 1,428.
  • Cabrera got three hits Wednesday to get to 2,999, then struck out in his final at-bat of the night.
  • He went 0 for 3 Thursday and was intentionally walked his final time up against the Yankees, drawing loud boos and chants from Detroit fans.

The hallowed hit remained on deck when Friday night’s game against Colorado was rained out. Cabrera was the third player to get his 3,000th hit while with Detroit, joining Ty Cobb and Al Kaline. While age has diminished his power to clear any fence and smash opposite-field shots to right-center, Cabrera has enjoyed a monster career at the plate.

  • Cabrera became the first major leaguer in 45 years to win the Triple Crown by leading the league in batting average, home runs and RBIs in 2012.
  • That year, he won his first of two straight MVP awards and helped Detroit reach the World Series, during a stretch that included four straight division championships.

“He is one of the great right-handed hitters ever,” Yankees manager and former Marlins teammate Aaron Boone said this week. “And 3,000 hits, 500 homers, that’s obviously rarefied air. He’s done it, you know, in bigger ballparks his entire career, between Florida and here also.

  • You know, he’s an all-timer.
  • He’s in that, probably inner circle, of even the Hall of Fame.
  • It’s been a special career,” Boone said.
  • Cabrera boosted his total most often against James Shields, getting 27 hits against the former Tampa Bay, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City and San Diego pitcher.
  • Detroit acquired Cabrera in a trade with the Marlins in 2007, with Dontrelle Willis also going to the Tigers in a deal for Andrew Miller and Cameron Maybin.

Cabrera had 842 hits at the time. The swap came a year after the Tigers lost the World Series to St. Louis, in the hope that Cabrera would help them win the championship for the first time since 1984. The Tigers, though, never won it all with their superstar.

  1. Detroit was swept by San Francisco in the 2012 World Series and spent a decade in a rebuilding mode that bottomed out with 310 losses between 2017-19.
  2. After Cabrera was an All-Star for the 11th time in 2016, his production declined and Detroit’s rate of success did as well.
  3. The Tigers made bold moves in the offseason in a quest to be relevant with Cabrera serving as a draw to bring fans to the ballpark and to hit about one ball per game into the outfield grass with savvy swings after crushing baseballs with incredible force earlier in his career.

A top prospect in the minors, Cabrera made his big league debut in June 2003. He announced his presence to the whole baseball world that October. Brushed back by a couple of heaters from Yankee ace Roger Clemens, Cabrera came back to launch a home run off the Rocket in helping the Marlins win the World Series.

  1. Cabrera is almost twice as old now and is still a kid at heart, recently taking the grounds crew’s three-wheel bicycle for a ride during batting practice.
  2. And, one of the game’s all-time greats can still get a base hit against some of the world’s best pitchers.

What happened between Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton at Fastlane?

Photo credit: WWE.com. In one of the most unique and unexpected matches in recent WWE history, Alexa Bliss defeated Randy Orton at Fastlane on Sunday. Before the opening bell even rang, Bliss continued the psychological warfare she has been utilizing on The Viper in recent weeks.

  1. WWE @WWE Let the games begin.
  2. WWEFastlane @RandyOrton https://t.co/mE7oPUM3PV That was only the start as Orton had to combat any number of dangers in and around the ring, including a lighting rig almost dropping on him and The Goddess hurling a fireball at him.
  3. WWE Universe @WWEUniverse Off to a 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 start.

#WWEFastlane @AlexaBliss_WWE @RandyOrton https://t.co/Zi36HPoSGA WWE @WWE HOW?! #WWEFastlane @AlexaBliss_WWE https://t.co/0N0j5Nbg1l Eventually, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt resurfaced—quite literally—rising up through the ring canvas. Bliss pushed a stunned Orton into the returning Fiend, who delivered a Sister Abigail that allowed The Goddess to pin The Viper.

  1. WWE @WWE Out of the ashes,
  2. THE FIEND HAS EMERGED?! #WWEFastlane https://t.co/eu0jfo031V Sunday’s bout was a long time coming, as Bliss has been a thorn in Orton’s side for months, especially since he took Wyatt out of the picture at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs in December by burning him alive during their Firefly Inferno match.

Since that incident, Orton’s rivalry with The Fiend has continued due largely to the involvement and influence of The Goddess. Bliss took things to another level prior to the Royal Rumble when she launched an attack on Orton in an effort to get revenge for what happened to The Fiend.

She shockingly hurled a fireball at The Viper, which left him with burns to his face for a couple of weeks after. In the weeks that followed, she continued to make life miserable for Orton by playing mind games and getting herself involved in his matches. On one occasion, Bliss appeared from out of nowhere atop the turnbuckle, leading to Orton getting distracted and losing; on another, she managed to hack into the ThunderDome and get her laughing face to appear on every screen, which resulted in another defeat for The Apex Predator.

The Goddess has also managed to impact Orton physically by causing a black liquid to ooze out of his mouth on occasion. One of those times came in the middle of a match against AJ Styles, allowing The Phenomenal One to win. Everything has seemingly been building toward a match between Orton and Bliss, as well as the eventual return of The Fiend for a match against The Viper at WrestleMania 37.

  • The Orton vs.
  • Bliss confrontation finally came to fruition at Fastlane, and it was as bizarre and heated as anyone could have expected.
  • Bliss technically picked up the victory, but the focus will now shift toward WrestleMania on April 10-11 when a Firefly FunHouse match between Orton and The Fiend seems inevitable.

Alexa Bliss is currently playing a dark and twisted entity on WWE RAW and has garnered major praise from fans for the same. In real life, though, Alexa Bliss is an incredibly nice person and has mostly stayed away from controversy. Her co-workers have had nothing but good things to say about her.

So it goes without saying that she has a long list of friends in WWE. The former RAW Women’s Champion has built up many close friendships over the years in WWE. Nia Jax, Ember Moon, Mickie James, and Nikki A.S.H. are just a few names who are incredibly close to Little Miss Bliss. However, Alexa Bliss considers fellow RAW Superstar Nia Jax her closest friend.

Bliss has previously opened up about her friendship with “The Irresistible Force.” She dubbed Nia her ‘best friend’ while talking about their WrestleMania 34 RAW Women’s title match: “To see Nia holding the title up and knowing that my best friend is having her WrestleMania moment and I was able to share that with her was awesome. How Did Ryan Cabrera Meet Alexa Bliss Fans who watched the match in question may remember that Bliss came out as the RAW Women’s Champion, and Jax defeated her to win the belt. Are Rhea and Buddy dating?

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio have become two of the hottest names on the WWE RAW roster since becoming members of The Judgment Day. Their relationship began when Rhea repeatedly assaulted Dominik to mentally hurt Rey Mysterio, However, the 25-year-old superstar betrayed his father to join the corrupt faction.

Fans might wonder if they’re romantically linked in real life when looking at their roller-coaster of a relationship, and we’ve got the answer. Which is no. The two are just close on-screen stablemates. In fact, Ripley is currently dating former WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy (Buddy Matthews in AEW), while Dominik Mysterio has been with his real-life girlfriend, Marie Juliette Verissimo, for several years.

Either way, the two stablemates continue to share a unique relationship on RAW. They will expectedly engage in exciting segments in the near future.

Are Rhea and Murphy dating?

Rhea Ripley is one of the most menacing superstars in WWE at the moment. Although she sports a dominant and dark character in the ring, she unveils another side of herself every now and then with her current boyfriend. After months of speculation, it has been revealed that Rhea Ripley is dating former WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy, now known as Buddy Matthews in AEW, where he is a member of House of Black.

  • However, he is currently on a hiatus from in-ring competition.
  • Interestingly, Ripley also has a close on-screen relationship with her The Judgment Day stablemate, Dominik Mysterio.
  • Dominik is also the brother of Aalyah Mysterio, who was Murphy’s former on-screen partner in WWE during the pandemic era.

Still, it looks like this angle is not a problem for all parties since the AEW star even joked about it in the past. Matthews was released from WWE in June 2021, just the same day as Malakai Black (fka Aleister Black). Buddy debuted in AEW in February 2022 and aligned himself with Malakai and Brody King to form House of Black.

As Bliss made her entrance, Cabrera’s song “Worth It,” which he wrote for his proposal, played in the background. “I’m just trying to figure out how I’m going to get through this because it’s such an emotional song,” Cabrera said. “I don’t think she understands, because we were talking about doing our vows, and I was like, ‘Maybe we should do it in private.’ I cry a lot! I can’t help it.

“It was like 4 a.m., and I had this dream about me reading the vows to her. I was uncontrollably crying, but I was reading the vows, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s good stuff!’ So I woke up in the middle of the night and started jotting it down. “It has drapey sleeves that are detachable and made of the lace from the bottom of the dress, which also has the appliqué on it.” Adam Kent Photography (IG: @adamkentphotography) “The bottom of my dress has four different layers of tulle — two of them are glitter tulle, and one of them is blush,” Bliss added.

“There is a long train in the back that’s all glitter, but it has a bustle in the back too, to lift it up so I can dance and all the things. It’s very whimsical, very fairytale-esque.” Bliss — whose bridal makeup was perfected by makeup artist Ian Maxion — said that the way that she found BenShabu to make her dress was really “coincidental.” “With my dress, there wasn’t anything that I knew I wanted, I just knew what I didn’t want,” she said.

I was scrolling through different designers on Instagram and Pinterest and all these things, and I came across Netta BenShabu’s designs, and I really loved them. I knew, like, ‘OK, so this is who I’m going to buy my dress from.'” “Two days later, Ryan coincidentally was like, ‘Hey, so I set you up a dress appointment with this boutique in L.A., Kinsley James, and they actually have a designer who wants to design a dress for you,'” she continued.

“I was like, ‘Oh, I already have a designer in mind.’ He was like, ‘Oh, well at least go hear her out. Her name is Netta BenShabu.’ I was like, ‘Wait, what?'” At her appointment with BenShabu, Bliss said she tried on “a bunch of different dresses” and pulled what she liked from each one.

It was like a snowball of ideas,” she said. “As soon as I put on the dress that I customized, I was like, ‘This is my dress.’ I got emotional. The one thing everyone who I show my dress to says is, ‘That’s you, That is you in a dress.'” One of Bliss’ bridesmaids made her a garter of blue lace from the bottom of her dress, which also featured borrowed gems to serve as her “something borrowed.” Instead of a veil, Bliss wore a Swarovski headpiece in the back of her hair, which was a half-up, half-down style done by Cabrera’s hairdresser Josh Stinnett.

“The veil was too much,” she said. “There’s already a lot going on with pink hair, pink dress. I think the veil would’ve been a little too much.” Cabrera also went with blush for his suit. Bliss had those on her side wear different shades of blue. As for their guests, the couple told them that the dress code was, “What would Harry Styles do?” “And that goes for male, female,

What would Harry Styles wear?” Cabrera added. “One of my cousins is wearing a Pac-Man suit,” Bliss said. “It’s going to be ridiculous.” After the ceremony, the couple made their way into the cocktail hour, which they made sure they could enjoy by getting all of their photos out of the way earlier in the day.

“We wanted to try to spend as much time with everybody as we could because it’s a destination,” Cabrera said. “We have people flying in from Dubai, from Ohio. People travel, spend a lot of money to come to your wedding and see you for 15 seconds. So we’re getting quality time in where we can.” In order to get even more time with their guests, which they described as a “melting pot” of people from their respective lives and careers, Cabrera and Bliss planned a week of events leading up to their wedding, including a boat day, a “Cabrera Classic” golf tournament, and a rehearsal dinner featuring the Original Taco-Man and a magician bartender from Magic & Cocktails.

  • The night before the wedding, Cabrera and Bliss also got their own quality time in.
  • We’re not separating the night before because we have to get up early, and I already told her, ‘Wedding night, babe, I am partying.
  • You’re not getting no action that night.
  • So you better get it the night before,'” Cabrera said.

“I’m just being honest. I’m partying hard after the ceremony. I would be shocked if I don’t end up in that lake.” There’s no doubt Cabrera and Bliss got the party started at the cocktail hour, where they had games like corn hole, a giant Connect 4, a giant Jenga, and the dice game Farkle.

Patrón also had a tequila bar and margarita bike. Other drink options at the cocktail hour were provided by Conscious Cocktails and Amass gin. At the reception, which guests needed to show their “backstage pass” to get into, Cabrera and Bliss had a tequila bar, an Absolut vodka bar, a Jameson whiskey bar, and a wine and beer bar featuring Bonita Bonita Wine, created by friends,

For food, the couple had two of their favorite L.A. food trucks, Heavy Handed burgers and fries and Yamashiro Japanese, there to feed their guests instead of having a sit-down meal. “We wanted it to be more laid back,” Cabrera said. “A chicken or steak dinner is not really us.” They also had Gastro Garage catering small bites like sandwiches and pizzas made by blow torch.

Instead of a wedding cake, they each sabered a bottle of champagne.

“We’re going to toast,” Cabrera said. “It’s really about the celebration of the moment, saying that we’re now married, and so we’re going to pop the champagne.” At their tables, which didn’t have assigned seating, Cabrera and Bliss used old-school CDs as their centerpieces and vinyl records as the place settings.

“It’s like putting on a festival.” While Bliss had initially purchased a “fun” party dress for the reception, she opted instead to stay in her wedding gown. However, she did swap out her wedges for her rhinestone Betsey Johnson sneakers. “My dress is so comfortable, and I didn’t want to change into something that everyone else can have when I have something that’s custom made for me,” she said.

“My wedding planner Elle Anderson with Elle A Events was in my alteration with me and kept saying, ‘She needs to be able to lift her arms. She needs to be able to dance and drink and not worry.’ So we hemmed the dress to my reception sneakers, not my heels.” Throughout the night, guests posted using the couple’s wedding hashtag #OntheWayDowntheAisle, a nod to Cabrera’s 2004 hit “On the Way Down.” All throughout planning their intricate day, Bliss said Cabrera was “super amazing,” adding: “I didn’t have to worry about any of it because he’s such a planner and likes to plan.” What’s funny is just how unplanned their love story began.

“She was freaked out,” he said. “I didn’t even know about this. I had no idea.” “It was weird,” Bliss added. “Over a week, I would get four or five notifications per day, like, ‘Ryan Cabrera liked your tweet. Ryan Cabrera replied to your tweet. Ryan Cabrera liked your tweet.’ I was like, ‘OK.

  1. He needs to calm down.
  2. I don’t even know this guy.'” Eventually, Cabrera and Bliss figured out what was going on, and they started talking.
  3. I was on an airplane flying to Orlando to play at Disney Epcot, and we chatted for the entire plane ride,” Cabrera said.
  4. I was like, obviously she’s beautiful, but she’s really cool too.

We both love Disney. We love the same movies. We both love Reese’s Puffs cereal.” When Cabrera touched down in Orlando, Bliss told him that she lived in the city. So, he invited her to his shows. “I said, ‘Maybe,'” Bliss recalled. “He didn’t like that.” Cabrera said he stayed “persistent” and invited her to a movie, where they ended up talking the whole time.

“We were like, ‘This is something,'” he said. While they both tour full time, their schedules coincidentally kept matching up. “Wherever she was, I just happened to be,” Cabrera said. “I was like, ‘I’m playing a Thanksgiving Day parade in Chicago.’ She’s like, ‘Oh we have WWE Raw in Chicago.’ Everywhere we were going, it lined up, which is crazy too because our schedules are usually so opposite with my tour and her wrestling.

Then she came to a DJ gig, and I told her that night, which was probably the second time we’d hung out in another city, that I was going to marry her one day.” “I’m older, and I’ve dated a lot of people, so I was like, ‘OK, I know now after dating different people what I want, what I don’t want,'” he added.

“So when I met her, I was like, ‘This is everything I’ve always wanted.’ So that’s why I was like, ‘I’m going to marry you one day.'” Though Bliss took a bit more time, she said she knew Cabrera was “the one” when she realized she was overall “a happier person.” “Ryan brings out the best in me, and all my friends and family saw a change in me for the better,” she said.

“It was the first time that I could genuinely say that I loved someone more than myself. So that’s when I knew I was in love with him. I was very guarded in the beginning because I’m just a guarded person in general, and he changed that about me.” After spending the majority of the COVID-19 pandemic together in Orlando, Cabrera knew his initial gut feelings about Bliss were right.

We were together every day,” he said. “At that point, you’re like, ‘OK, if we can get through this together, I think we’re going to be all right.'” Cabrera took his first step towards marrying Bliss when he proposed at Disney in November 2020. After months of planning, he popped the question in the park after it had closed.

“We had dinner at 9 p.m., and the park closed at 10, but obviously they allowed us to stay after the park closed because they knew this was happening,” Cabrera said. “She was like, ‘Babe, we have to go. The park is closing soon.’ She’s a rule follower, and I’m the exact opposite, so I’m like, ‘We’re fine.

  • Come on. We’re good.'” As they walked up to a table set up for their proposal, Cabrera had “Worth It” start playing through the entire park.
  • He then asked Bliss to dance, yet still, she had no idea what was happening.
  • He just does stuff like this, like he’s so sweet,” she said.
  • He’s a hopeless romantic.

He’s a planner, and it was our anniversary, so I thought it was just an anniversary thing.” Bliss said she knew this was more than a cute anniversary date when Cabrera started “shaking” and said, “I waited 38 years to do this.” At that moment, Cabrera said, “I blacked out.” “I don’t even know what I said, but I said a whole thing, and then I got down on one knee,” he recalled.

  1. It was perfect, and the photos came out amazing and the video came out amazing.” For the ring, Cabrera worked with XIV Karats in L.A.
  2. To create a “royal” looking engagement ring, which he had carried around in a satchel for months.
  3. On the engagement day, I didn’t want the ring in my pocket,” he said.

“So I started wearing the satchel with the ring in it ahead of time so that the day of she wouldn’t think anything was weird.” Added Bliss: “I had gotten him three custom satchels for Christmas thinking it was his thing now. For the last four months he had been selling me on how convenient satchels are.” After the proposal, Cabrera had another surprise planned: an engagement party at the Riviera Resort.

  • I had 50 people waiting in that hotel, and as soon as we came around the corner, the champagne was popped,” Cabrera said.
  • It was quite the day and quite the operation, but it ended up being absolutely perfect.” RELATED VIDEO: Paris Hilton Celebrates Upcoming Wedding with Alice in Wonderland-Themed Bridal Shower The day after their wedding, Cabrera and Bliss will return to Disney, but this time the park in California.

“We’re geared up,” Cabrera said. “We’ve got shirts. We’ve got hats. All the cheesy things, we’re all about it.” The couple will then go to Hawaii to spend a few days alone, before being joined there by a group of their friends. Looking forward to forever, Bliss said, “I love that I don’t know what every day is going to bring.” “If I wanted to know what the rest of my life would look like every single day I would be with anyone else in the world but Ryan,” she said.

But I love not knowing, and I love knowing that I get to wake up next to him and bug him every morning, and it’s the best. I love our life together. We constantly make each other laugh, we constantly are having fun, and I’m just overall happier around this guy. We’re already married.” Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss.

Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss Added Cabrera: “She’s always down for adventure.” When it comes to the adventure that is starting a family, Cabrera said, “Whatever happens, happens, but we definitely want kids.” “We’re planning on two,” Bliss said. “He’s so great with kids.

He needs to calm down. I don’t even know this guy.'” Eventually, Cabrera and Bliss figured out what was going on, and they started talking. “I was on an airplane flying to Orlando to play at Disney Epcot, and we chatted for the entire plane ride,” Cabrera said. “I was like, obviously she’s beautiful, but she’s really cool too.

Where will Cabrera and Bliss go after their wedding?

Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss Are Married! Inside Their ‘Non-Traditional’ Rockstar-Themed Wedding

  • and Alexa Bliss have officially walked “On the Way Down” the aisle.
  • The singer, 39, and the WWE star, 30, exchanged vows at the Kempa Villa in Palm Desert, California, on April 9, PEOPLE can exclusively announce.
  • Two weeks ahead of the big day, the couple sat down with PEOPLE to give all the details on their wedding, which Bliss described as “very non-traditional” and “rockstar” themed.

“It’s very us,” Cabrera said. “The whole thing’s meant to bring out our personalities, and we are far from just normal.” Cabrera and Bliss — who started planning their wedding right after they in November 2020 — fell in love with their venue (which is owned by a friend) after first stopping by to visit on their way to a “glamping” trip in nearby Joshua Tree.

  • Adam Kent Photography (IG: @adamkentphotography) Then, after they got engaged, they again saw their friend who owns the five-acre property, and he suggested it could be the “perfect” backdrop for their wedding.
  • We were like, ‘Oh my God,’ it’s absolutely perfect,” Cabrera said.
  • It’s absolutely gorgeous and nestled within the mountains.

At the bottom, there are vineyards, and behind the house there’s a beautiful lake. It’s just far enough outside of Los Angeles, too.” Adam Kent Photography (IG: @adamkentphotography)

  1. In contrast with the serene surroundings of the estate was a giant, light-up “Welcome to the S—show” sign and hot pink carpet that greeted their 360-count guest list (which Cabrera said he “weeded down” from 608) upon arrival.
  2. “Our wedding has been self-deemed ‘the s— show,'” Cabrera explained.
  3. As guests arrived, they were able to pour their own glass of Campo Viejo Cava champagne from the Bubble Tap trailer as they soaked in the acoustic sounds of singer Tyler Ward and harpist Lexie Lowell.
  4. To kick off the ceremony, Cabrera and Bliss had people walk down the aisle tossing out shots to attendees in lieu of flower girls “to really set the stage.”
  5. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

Their families then walked down the aisle to Walk Off the Earth’s version of “The Best.” The bridal and groom party — which had a mix of 16 men and women on each side — followed, walking down to “Eye-to-Eye” from A Goofy Movie, one of Bliss’ favorite films.

I’m that guy. It is what it is. I’m emotional, so it’s going to be waterworks.” RELATED VIDEO: Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan Married! At the time of their PEOPLE interview, both Cabrera and Bliss had said that their vows were already written. “Mine came to me in a dream,” Cabrera said.

It was like 4 a.m., and I had this dream about me reading the vows to her. I was uncontrollably crying, but I was reading the vows, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s good stuff!’ So I woke up in the middle of the night and started jotting it down. That led to writing more and more and more. I’ll probably be tweaking up until the day of, but that’s just the writer in me,

or I may just scratch it and go improv.” Bliss said she wants to read her vows first “because I’m not a writer — I don’t want to follow his!” Keeping with the non-traditional theme, Bliss wore a custom dress by designer Netta BenShabu in blush. “The top is a mesh corset bodice with rhinestones and beaded appliqué,” she said.

  1. I was scrolling through different designers on Instagram and Pinterest and all these things, and I came across Netta BenShabu’s designs, and I really loved them.

They have their own area because of the fire,” Bliss said, as Cabrera joked, “And my hair! You don’t want me around that thing.” For dessert, the couple had four different flavors of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Brownie Brittle, popcorn by Cookie & Candy Pop, and a candy bar by Candy Vixen.
